GREED & FEAR ……. DRIVERS OF SUB-HUMAN

GREED & FEAR ……. DRIVERS OF SUB-HUMAN

We eat. They Eat. We sleep. They Sleep. We Breath. They Breath. We think. They Think.
We Procreate. They Procreate. We live. They Live. We Die. They Die.
Then All that we do is what they also do, maybe in different ways and at different times
and at different environments available on this planet.
What is the difference between We the Human and the Animals?
Nothing since humans is also an Animal as taught when we were growing in Schools.
Refined one called A Social Animal. How can they differ?
It's a creation of the same natural processes and evolution happening over millions of years.
Some theories propounded by the same Human born in primitive societies of
the western hemisphere, where not only Sun Light reaches late but the light of eternal
knowledge to takes time. We accepted it with open arms. Let's hold hands of knowledge -
Asto Maa Sadgamya ….Tamso Maa Jytortirgamya,
wherever it is coming from. Man evolved from Monkey backed by so-called scientific proof
of fossil remains of some million years ago. The period of aging kept changing.
The fossils kept coming out from annals of Historical & Archeological Research.
We just taught our next generations -Grab the Knowledge and move on.
The hand is holding a hand. Somewhere Inside out there was a firm belief in previous
generations that those who are teachers today will be taught tomorrow.

Only one teaching to the tutor can make all the difference in the way we look at the external
world -

We are eternal. We are eternal . We are eternal.

From Timelessly liberated soul as part of the creator, we were given the cage of the body.
That cage was a human or animal or plant but we were fixed on dimensions of time, space
and energy. Later was ensured through the biochemical processes of the form we entered into.
Control of which form shape and space at a particular time instance on time machine to enter
and exit was kept by the source from where we all started and came from to undertake the
journey in a particular form. Here starts the false recognition of that part of the creator with
the creation. The struggle to keep that form & shape intact became part of the first objective.
Me, Myself & Mine started taking over the role of the creator by the mind provided in the body
for controlling the Bio-chemical processes to generate enough energy to sustain the self in
that form & space for a particular time. Sensors provided to perfectly gauge the environment
in which the body has to sustain itself started creating the information for the Mind to process and
control the external actions as well. The change in the surrounding was observed by these five
sensors of seeing, hearing, touching, smelling and tasting and relevant signals were sent to
the processing unit brain which in turn directed the body to act & react to the stimulus provided
by this function with the very first objective of existence  - To Survive. Without understanding
who touches, who smells, who sees, who hears, who taste the ultimate senses all studies
remained inconclusively unconscious. Not recognizing the presence of conscious inside
who is behind all senses gave false identification of living beings. This gave birth to Fear.
The birth of Fear as a syndrome in the brain to create the signals was the first motivator to
act & react in a particular situation the cage is in. Survival of fittest theory was devised
undermining the reason it is emanating from. Controlling Fear was Controlling Survival of
living being. Those who have controlled fear or overcome it became the fittest. Fear or
Phenomena of Fear termed as Phobia was instilled in living beings at various intervals of
their many life cycles, in various quantum and in various types. Studies and Research
have only tried to classify and sub-classify with pounding & propounding fresh theories
on its reasons. The biggest and most common in all creatures is the fear of not being
able to survive. Survive in a given condition, circumstances & competition around from
similar & alternate species. Strengths and Advantages developed while adopting & adapting
to surrounding under a process of evolution brought identity to each living being on this planet.
This identity created differentiated one from others and thus started reactions to the very
presence of other species in the same space and time dimension. These reactions were
controlled by the degree of fear calibrated while using the memory storage of each cell in
the body accumulated over a period of many lives on the terrestrial surface & under.

Overcoming fear was the main challenge for every living being to evolve to the next level
of performance. Be in Jungles in prehistoric times or eating newer foods to remain in life or
now in space-age of landing on a different planet, Creator in Human Body has decided to
change the course of history to follow. This overcoming of fear only kept increasing the
supremacy gap between Man and species lesser / other than Man. In the last hundred
saw human emancipation in overcoming fears from external forces never seen in the
preceding thousand years. Recorded evolution kept telling stories of changes on the
surface of the planet and the planetary movements away from it.
What was making it happen and why now remained unsearched & unexplored area.
Celebrations & Consumption kept all happy & gay. Ladder took newer heights of
achievements
and so was the heights of fear. Fear to Fail and Fear to Fall entered to occupy major mind
space and motivation of every action so taking us back to closure to animals stage.
It played on nerves so much that 80 times in Bible Fear Not appeared to disarray the
rising of the human mind from ignorant to the enlightened stage With the advent of book
driven religions from the west, Classifying Fear in two types Bible said Fear from God is
good and to be encouraged whereas Spirit of Fear is to be snubbed by Love for God.
Book of Genesis to Book of Revelation Fear Not captured the psyche of believers beyond
comprehensions. Another Book of Religion Quaran connects Fear to grief and suffering and
follows the Bible written some 5 Centuries earlier. Neither helped in making humans better on
reducing levels rather it increased because both said Fear of Allaha and God is good and both
increased levels of unknown, unseen and uncertain.

Contrasting the book driven religious dogmas , Eastern Text in Sanskrit written some
5500 years before Bible says about fearlessness is the very first virtue to be developed in
order to achieve
level next of human life as saint besides 25 others, in Chapter 16 Verse 1.3 of
Srimadbhagwatgeeta, Song of God in 700 verses sung in the middle of war field    :

The Supreme Divine Personality said: O scion of Bharat, these are the saintly virtues of those
endowed with a divine nature—fearlessness, purity of mind, steadfastness in spiritual
knowledge, charity, control of the senses, performance of sacrifice, study of the sacred books,
austerity, and straightforwardness; non-violence, truthfulness, absence of anger, renunciation,
peacefulness, restraint from fault-finding, compassion toward all living beings, absence of
covetousness, gentleness, modesty, and lack of fickleness; vigor, forgiveness, fortitude,
cleanliness, bearing enmity toward none, and absence of vanity.

Here, Shree Krishna describes twenty-six virtues of a saintly nature. These should be
cultivated as a part of our spiritual practice for elevating ourselves to the supreme goal.
Fearlessness: It is the state of freedom from concern for the present and future miseries.
Inordinate attachment of any kind causes fear. Attachment to wealth leads to the dread of
impoverishment, attachment to social prestige causes fear of infamy, attachment to vice leads
to anxiety about the consequences of sin, attachment to bodily comfort causes the fear of
ill-health, and so on. Detachment and surrender to God vanquish all fear from the heart.
The purity of mind: This is the state of inner cleanliness. The mind generates and harbors
thoughts, sentiments, feelings, emotions, etc. When these are ethical, wholesome, positive,
and uplifting, the mind is considered pure, and when they are unethical and degrading, the
mind
is considered impure. Attachment to objects in the modes of passion and ignorance
contaminate the mind, while attachment to God purifies it.
Steadfastness in spiritual knowledge:. It is said: tattva vismaraṇāt bhekivat [v1]
“When human beings forget what is right and what is wrong they become like animals.”
Thus, the path of virtue is forged by remaining steadfast in the awareness of spiritual principles.
Charity: It refers to the giving away of one’s possessions for a good cause or to needy
persons. True charity is that which is done, not with a feeling of superiority, but with a sense
of gratefulness to God for the opportunity to help. Material charity, done for the welfare of the
body, helps others temporarily. Spiritual charity, done at the platform of the soul, helps
eliminate the cause of all suffering, which is separation from God. Consequently,
it is considered higher than material charity.
Control of the Senses: The senses are notorious in their ability to drag the mind deeper into
material illusion. They tempt the living being to seek immediate gratification. However, walking
the path of virtue requires forsaking the lower sensual pleasures for achieving a higher goal.
Thus, restraint of the senses is an essential virtue for treading the path to God.
Performance of sacrifice: It means executing one’s Vedic duties and social obligations,
even though they may not be enjoyable. Sacrifice is considered perfect when it is done for the
pleasure of God.
Study of the sacred books: An important aspect of cultivating the divine nature is to feed the
intellect with uplifting knowledge from the scriptures. When the intellect is illumined with
proper knowledge, one’s actions naturally become sublime.
Austerity: The body-mind-senses are such that, if we pamper them, they become
pleasure-seeking, but if we restrain them, they become disciplined.
Thus, austerity is the voluntary acceptance of hardships for purifying the body, mind, and
intellect.
Straightforwardness: Simplicity in speech and conduct unclutters the mind and
engenders the sprouting of noble thoughts. The English phrase “simple living, high thinking”
aptly expresses the benefits of the virtue of straightforwardness.
Non-violence:  It means not impeding the progressive life of other living beings through
thought, word, or deed.
Truthfulness: It means restraining oneself from distorting facts to suit one’s purpose.
God is the Absolute Truth, and hence the practice of truthfulness takes us toward him; on the
other hands, falsehood, while convenient, takes us away from God.
Absence of anger:. The manifestation of anger is a defect of the material mind.
It takes place when the desires for happiness are obstructed and things do not turn out how
one envisaged. By developing detachment and surrender to the will of God, one overcomes
anger.
Renunciation: The entire material energy belongs to God and it is meant for his pleasure.
Hence, the opulence of the world is not for one’s enjoyment, but for being utilized in the
service of God. To be fixed in this understanding is renunciation.
Peacefulness: The cultivation of virtue requires mental poise. Peacefulness is the ability to
retain inner equilibrium despite disturbing external situations.
Restraint from fault-finding: The whole world and everything in it is a mixture of good and
bad qualities. Focusing upon defects in others dirties our mind, while focusing upon their
virtues purifies it. The nature of a saintly person is to see his or her own defects and observe
the virtues of others.
Compassion toward all living beings: As individuals evolve spiritually, they naturally rise
above self-centeredness and develop empathy for all living beings. Compassion is the deep
sympathy that arises upon seeing the sufferings of others.
Absence of covetousness: Greed is the desire to accumulate more than what one legitimately
needs for the maintenance of the body. Under its sway, people acquire huge amounts of
wealth and possessions, though they know, that at the time of death, everything will be left
behind. Freedom from such covetousness leads to contentment and inner peace.
Gentleness. The disposition of behaving roughly with others arises from insensitivity to their
feelings. But as one grows in spiritual stature, one naturally sheds crudeness in behavior.
Gentleness is a sign of spiritual refinement.
Modesty. Hrīḥ means “sense of guilt in performing actions contrary to the injunctions of
scripture and society.” The saintly nature is imbued with a ruthless inner conscience that
gives one a sense of guilt in committing sinful acts.
Lack of fickleness. We may begin with good intentions, but if we get distracted by
temptations
and hardships, we cannot complete the journey. Success on the path of virtue comes by
unwaveringly pursuing the goal despite all diversions that come on the way.
Vigor. From the purity of mind comes a deep inner drive to act according to one’s values
and beliefs. Hence, saintly personalities bring immense power and vigor to the tasks they
pursue.
Forgiveness or forbearance. This is the ability to tolerate the offenses of others, without
feeling the need to retaliate. Through forgiveness, one heals the emotional wounds caused by
others that would otherwise fester and disturb the mind.
Fortitude. It is the inner strength and determination in pursuing the goal, even when the mind
and senses are wearied due to unfavorable circumstances. Most of the important things in
the world have been accomplished by people who kept on trying when there seemed to be
no hope at all
Cleanliness. It refers to both internal and external purity. Virtuous people believe in
maintaining external cleanliness because it is conducive to internal purity.
Bearing enmity toward none. Bearing enmity toward others poisons our own mind, and this
becomes an impediment in the path of spiritual progress. The quality of freedom from hatred
toward others is developed by realizing that they are also like us, and God resides in all.
Absence of vanity. Self-praise, boastfulness, ostentation, etc. all stem from pride.
Saintly personalities see nothing in themselves to be proud of, but instead, feel gratitude to
God for the good qualities they possess. Thus, they refrain from self-aggrandizement.

In the same song under Chapter 2 Verse 20, Godhead kills all reasons of fear while saying :

Be fearless – Soul is neither born nor does it ever die
For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease
to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain
when the body is slain.

 na jayate mriyate va kadacin
nayam bhutva bhavita va na bhuyah
ajo nityah sasvato 'yam purano
na hanyate hanyamane sarire

In the dialogue between a Teacher - Student recorded in Upanishads mysteries of life
are resolved some 10000 Years before Christ and Mohammad enlightened the western
societies with fear of God & Allaha in their respective text recorded in the Bible & Quran
which goes as below :

na jayate mriyate va vipascin
nayam kutascin na vibhuva kascit
ajo nityah sasvato 'yam purano
na hanyate hanyamane sarire.

Katha Upanishad …..  1.2.18

Same Meaning as Bhagwat Geeta with the gap of some 5000 years proving truth remains
unchanged with time.

Fear of Death - Fear of Survival - Fear of Failure - What makes you move?
When Fear makes you move, it is re-confirmation that animal is living in you.
